Thanks for all the advice. I had my son help me remove the naughty chick so we were in and out really fast, humidity only dropped six percent and went straight back up. We put it in the brooder with a soft blanket toy and it was fine. The others that had pipped all ended up hatching just fine. We ended up with 10 babies out of 14, but I wasn't sure from the start if all the eggs were viable as they were the dark maran brown and olive egger green shells and I couldn't candle. So I'm really happy. Thanks again!

Congrats on the hatch! The chicks are absolutely adorable! A hen we happened to pick up sounded just like the first one when she was a chick—even in the brooder! Chicks can be so funny!
