I used to call my place "froghaven". No frog or toad is safe in my backyard anymore with all the chickens/ducks/geese/guineas. They look like little dinosaurs chasing each other around when 1 of them catches a frog/toad.
My son liked frogs too and still does even though he is over thirty. I've given the help two rules when working around the yard. 1. They are not to kill any frogs and 2. They are not to kill any snakes.
You can put the tadpoles in any container big enough for them to move freely and add some algea and they should survive for several days. Just make sure the water doesnt get too warm. A few 5 gallon buckets would work great
