I like posting pictures :)

I've just had my first complaint about her from a neighbor, and by the sounds of it, they've been letting her morning noise get under their skin so bad that they believe that my fowl do nothing but quack and honk all day long (which is not true, I've been logging every quack all day). I didn't mention to them the dog they had for years that did nothing but bark in the backyard the entire time they were at work (I actually recorded it one day because my husband kept telling me it couldn't be that bad and I was on a night-shift, trying to sleep when kids were at school) So far there are no laws besides health laws that govern poultry in our area, but I do live in the residential part of our island.

Ever since I started with the waterfowl, I've checked with all neighbors within hearing distance to see what they thought of it. EVERYONE loved them all. The neighbors I did have next to me were renters and moved out last month and the people living there now are the owners again. Maybe I should take my little ones over there and introduce them to their two young daughters... or is that too low? The thought of getting rid of Ranaya just hurts like heck.

Ranaya is beautiful! I think she's smiling!

I often look around at pictures - and don't leave a reply .... althought I have seen some beauties.... there are posters that I swear couldn't take a bad picture if they tried ! I am hopeless with the camera. When I see other members have said "thanks" or "great pic" I figure - yup I think so too and I go off to read more BYC.
I really appreciate all the pics people post!

When I saw the first pic - that was the FIRST time I ever WISHED I could have a goose!
I've collected Canadian geese trinkets, figures, carvings, pictures...house full of them.
My favorite animal (fell in love with them reading "Cheasapeke" by James Michner many years ago.
That's about as far as I go with geese of any kind. (I have a few chickens)

The first shot is nice and close, and draws you to really take it in - how often would you see a goose up to her nostrils in water?
(never really , for me !) That leaves you the eyes to look at, and golly I think I see pleasure in her eyes - simple pleasure!.

The second shot I WOULD ENLARGE AND FRAME AND HANG IN MY LIVING ROOM! that was before I noticed the droplets of water
on her wings! That's amazing.

Talented! Now post some more please.

I take hundreds of pictures, many are not worth squat. I'm still upset that the second picture is not centered. It would have been way awesome if it had been. The first picture has 5 others almost identical, but that was the only one where you can see the water bubbling. She's the most photogenic because she's not scared of me at all, and will continue doing what she's doing if I get nearby with a camera.

Did you ever get to see the headshot of Rommy?

In case you haven't hear it is:

The photo is not as clear as I would have liked to be. I was sorta further away and needed to zoom all the way in. That's when I run into trouble with my shots, since my zoom is crappy.
