Hey y'all. This website is awesome. I refer people here all the time when they buy chicks from me or ask questions I can't answer. I have found so much information here to help me spread enthusiasm for keeping a backyard flock. It really is inspiring. Thanks!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Where are you located, and what kind of chicks do you sell?

Welcome to BYC! Thanks for helping to spread the word that this a wonderful resource.

x2 on @Michael OShay 's question, what kind of chicks do you sell?

Nice to have you join us!

I'm in Southport, NC. We sell a variety of breeds, basically whatever appeals to me in January and is a reasonably good layer. I try to order 3 breeds per shipment, 10-15 shipments per spring/summer. For the sake of an attractive display I try to order a yellow, a black, and a brown chick per shipment. This week we are getting Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, and Dominiques. Most are being bought for backyard egg production, so we only order pullets (unless a special order is requested). They will end up with names and probably be buried rather than eaten. I love helping people get into this hobby. They're usually great people.
