What part of the country are you in? Please, if you are under 18, do not share detailed information. However, knowing whether you are in the far south (say Southern Florida) or in a colder climate can help us since you are talking about putting them outside.
Remember, button quail are not suited to cold climates. They need to be protected from cold weather and from drafts. Basically, if it's too cool for you without putting on a jacket then it is too cool for your birds. Actually, I try to keep mine in temperatures where I would be comfortable in a summer shirt. Quail lady has more experience with this, so perhaps can share a bit more with you about what they can tolerate as far as temperature.
Even in places very far South in the US winter temperatures get too cold for button quail outside in the winter. Please keep this in mind for the rest of your button quail.
