I am so sorry you lost so many birds... I've always liked reading your posts, but this is one I wish hadn't happened.

Oh sweetie, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss! Yes, the gnats are TERRIBLE here as well!
I bought several of those yellow fly sticky thingies...and put them in the coops. In about 2 hrs, they were FULL!! I bought the hanging fly traps...the ones that smell bad?? In about a week,,,full. Yes, some were flies...but mostly GNATS!
COME ON DRY WEATHER!!
Again, I am sooo verry sorry!

just when i thought i was safe from anymore trouble. my kids get bit by those and where they do it swells up huge. sorry to here about your chickens, sounds like you had a rough week already and then that. i'm sure you'll be able to find some more and i wouldn't be surprised if someone on here sets you up with a few. people on here, i'm learning, are just like that. great bunch!

Oh, I'm so sorry about the terrible loss of your birds.

I had no idea they were a problem for some areas until now. It really does sound like a plague.

I hope it improves soon for everyone.....
