Oh dear...

I'm so sorry. You know, I've noticed that the brahmas like to wedge themselves into things. I had a couple of youngsters that would crawl into a cinder block, then not be able to get out again without my help.

I'd send you more eggs, but my girl's not laying right now...

Thanks for the offer....maybe when the weather cools down we can trade? My pheasants are not laying right now....but maybe some pheasant eggs for some LB's?

I still haven't been able to get my hands on any goldens...

Well, mine were laying sporadically, then my MIL accidentally let one of the hens out of the coop about three weeks ago--never to return. So now I'm down to just one pair and she last laid a week ago...it's close to 100 degrees now, so that may be why she's not laying now....sighs...the other egg, I have in the incubator...the last two hatched and then got trampled??? by my other chicks....

Your luck sounds like mine. I had a couple of ringneck pheasants hatch, only to lose one... in the house. Have NO idea where it wound up, haven't smelled anything...

OMG, LOL (sorry)....they do leap fairly well for being so darn tiny...I was more worried about them drowing or not eating but apparently, my houdans & creves gave them a stomping? They were both flattened in the bottom of the brooder. They were three days older than the chicks, too...and the houdans were bantams so I thought they'd be okay...​
