I lost my first chicken yesterday

I just wanted to make a tribute post to my beautiful baby Kerropi. I could not have asked for a better chicken and she loved me as much as I loved her. Every Halloween we went trick or treating and every day we’d go together to the bus stop to pick up my sister. Words cannot express how having her had taught me so much love and empathy for everything around me.

While I was robbed of my baby for reproductive issues regarding her breed, I would not change getting her for anything in the world. The love was worth the pain in the end and I am happy to know I never left her not even till the end.

Oh I am so sorry you lost her. It never gets easier to lose them but the first loss is the hardest. I am sure she knows how much you loved her.
