I lost my white-breasted beauty.

I lost Elanor, my white breasted turkey of 6 years last month. She stayed outside one very cold night and froze solid. She'll be missed by me, family and friends, but NOT by one of my goats: Sadie. No, Elanor and Sadie were at odds from the start, that is... from the start of Sadie's life, as she was birthed right where Elanor's egg laying spot was. Somebody said that turkeys were incredibly stupid and that may be true, but Elanor developed a grudge on Sadie that fateful day and it lasted until she froze.

People often underestimate other species. Elanor sounds wonderfully aware of Sadie's "intrusion." I am sorry for your loss.
