I Lost One Today

One of my baby silkies that hatched Christmas Day, some how fell into a bucket of water. I have no idea how a little 2 inch baby got up on the bucket. Can’t fly, still fuzzy. Too high to jump. No idea
No buckets any more. Poor little thing.

I’m so sorry about your little chick If you’re worried about the babies getting into their waterer you could get a few of those nipple waterers they have now, we’ve used them for our chicks and they work fine once they get used to it.

I'm soo sorry to hear that. I just give my chicks a tiny bit of water in a small bowl and they are perfectly fine. and again I'm sorry to hear.

That’s so sad, I’m so sorry. We give our chicks water in tiny containers and just change it everyday.

Yeah I use the nipples in both of my runs, and I have a bowl of water with marbles in it for the babies. I keep a couple buckets of water in the yard for the dogs. The silkies were out free ranging for awhile. Never once thought about the baby getting in one. No more buckets while the baby is out. I still have no clue how she got in the bucket.
