I love chickens.

You have one of those, too, Peeps? My crazy black Silkie, Elvira, pulls on my pants! She's a nutty broad!

Yes, she'll grab my pants and hang on!!! She's crazy, but I still love her cause she's one of the only three that made it out of my 19 babies.

Good post Fluff. I love my chickens. I love the
way they look right at me when I talk to them like they're trying to understand what I'm saying.

I also love how they trample over each other trying to get to the treat dish, gobble up stuff and go their merry way without a thank you.

And when I catch them doing cute stuff like dustbathing together or just hanging out on the outside perch doing chicken stuff - not even knowing I'm spying on them!

This was a "happy happening" thread. What a delight to read!.

I love my babies also and and thankful for the joy they bring to me everyday.
And my dear hubby is really getting into the swing of it since he has more time at home. I hear him laughing out in the yard with them.

Oh and my goose "Christmas" has brought me a lot of joy also! And she is definitely hubby's favorite!

What a change for DH, the girls come running for treats and follow him all over. Last year, I had one pet rooster who attacked him every day when DH fed him!

Great post! People think I'm crazy because I care so much for my chickens. You can also tell a lot about people in the way they treat them.
In the middle of winter, when my first batch were only a week old, the power went out, no heat lamp or heat in the house.
My new (at the time) boyfriend took them out in the car , turned the heat up full blast and sat with them until the power company fixed the line. Poor guy came in all sweaty and dehydrated. Of course he's my fiance now and the chicks all survived!
