Hi everyone , I am a chicken virgin I have always wanted them but it was pretty hard living 16 floors up in a Glasgow council flat bock :p
Now I am in the country and have a huge space to start . I joined this site as soon as I saw it it's fantastic all the pics and advice is fantastic , I think I am going to build my coop from sanded and treated pallets it looks cool. Is there any treatments for wood I should avoid incase the chickens nibble it?

so happy for you Matt...! Hens rule..! i would treat your wood with oil, some kind of cheap food grade oil, its safer. and i should know , because i live with environmental illness, and always have to be careful of any chemicals,

Welcome to BYC, Matt. Pretty cool to be reading a post from someone in Scotland. Beautiful country. I'm not sure if you like them, but, my two teens and I are big fans of Albannach. They were in the States back in November. Great concert. Take care and good luck.

Lol I think this avatar catches the sarcastic side of chickens ty for the video and taking the time to say hey
