Well they have done it again!
We recieved 6 guineas from the neighbor who knew my 4 year old son just ADORED them. DH wasn't super happy about it, especially when they started to roost in the morton building!
BUT today they have proven their weight in gold! I was playing a fiercely competitive game of UNO with my 7 year old when the guineas started going nuts.
Sure enough there was a Red Tailed Hawk roosting about ten feet from my Australorp herd! They ran for cover but we have had these hawks take them from inside the building!
The Guineas bought me enough time to fire off the 12 gauge into the air and scare him off! PESKY BIRD! I guess he was in the mood for a 3 piece chicken dinner!
