found this guy outside the coop this morning...

at first we thought the cat had gotten him... till I noticed the beak sized holes in his side and the dried blood on the beaks of a couple of our hens... figure it managed to crawl out of the coop before it died... our birds are tough

... important lesson... rat + 8 barred rock/orp crosses= 1 very dead rat... wonder how many never made it out before today... not surprised though... they have kicked the cat's and one of the dogs' butts before... they love us though...

they got plenty of treats today... there were 3 apple pies for thanksgiving... plenty of peels and dough scraps...​

Yes they are definetly Little Raptors in a cute little chicken disguise!! I have seen my girls totally dismenber a LARGE Mouse and then fight over the last little scrap! Also seen them rip a snake apart with great glee as the Roo and I looked on In Horror! Oh by the way he is not innocent he just tries to put up a good act!! LMAO

BTW after they ripped the snake apart they ate him too! Hope I never fall down in the middle of Them????!!!!!!!
