Sometimes I incubate eggs and raise them in the house in a brooder. I usually let momma (or a momma!) do the work. Well, I got some older chicks from a friends (1chickmagnet) a few days ago. Oh My Gosh! they are so stinkin cute. they are in the barn now, all silkies (well, some showgirl silkies too) and I forgot just how cute hand raised chickes are.
I gave them some leftover grated carrots tonight and they went crazy.....fighting, chirping and running. They were all out of thier chick food, and when they saw me, they all ran to the dish and jumped in. I almost died from sheer cuteness overlaod!
