Good morning; I'm new to the forum and love every bit of it.

My name is Miranda, and I live in VT. I have two children, Mackie is 7, and Tyler is 10. We have 9 White Silkie chicks, and 6 Lavender Ameracauna's. (We started out with 12 silkies; we gave two to my niece and nephew. Their beagle pup got one,

, so I confiscated the other one back. I had two VERY apparent roosters that we gave away, so now we are left with the 9.)

Here are my new babies...they are about 2 weeks old.

I'm going to need lots of opinions on EVERYTHING because I'm seriously ocd when it comes to anything I'm invested in. (Not financially, but emotionally. Although, with the chicken coop I have in my mind, the financial investment is going to be costly I have a feeling!!)

Hi a fellow Vt'er! beutiful chicks! sorry to hear bought the beagle getting one. my beagle absolutly loves our chicks. I named the chicken coop "chowders chickens". I'm also very new to having chickens, but this forum and people are wonderful and very helpful. As for expense of the coop look on craigs list for supplies that will help and cut some costs.
