My hubby put together this feeder for me and I LOVE it. The "tray" is a 6" plumbing cap with a 3" pipe you could use larger dimension pipes for larger flocks. No mess, easy fill, no waste and no worry about flow issues

what a great idea. I will show that pic to my nusband, I have been thinking about what to do with the feeder I have and where to actually keep it, the chickens are always standing on top of it and I am always changing the food cause they poop in it.
