Yes! My guy does this too! When "Tootsie" (she loved to sit on my feet when she was younger) is doing her egg song getting ready to lay he goes in the coop and I swear they get a duet going! He makes his noise, she does hers, he does his again, etc... Very cute! :) My day got hectic today and I didn't get photos, but will TRY to do so tomorrow!

its not really the breed (although some are certainly more docile) as it is the individual roo and lots of handeling doesnt hurt either

So what kind of handling? i have been working some with my roo, holding him etc, but he still will come after me periodically- am almost thinking he will need to be rehomed- but don't want him to end up as somebodies dinner

Awww I'm encouraged by the stories of good roos! I want a nice roo too! My Rudy is hateful! I handled him as much as possible when he was little, I've tried the "pick up and carry" method and he still attacks me and my hubby. Someday I will love him... with dumplins!

My lad used to perch on our arms like a hawk and liked to sit on shoulders and heads but as he got older he became more distant. He doesn't like to be handled at all but he's good with the hens and that's all that matters. He does let me pet him but I don't think he enjoys it. He will have to start being handled when his spurs come in, those are going bye bye.

Thanks to all of your comments. They are all very informative. Next step is the handling training. Hopefully offering more treats to the roo (hand fed?) will do the trick.
