i love my scovies

i just love them too much for words!! i really can't believe how sweet duckie is. i thought for sure he'd be a monster during breeding season. he's had his moments, but he's been amazing all aound. he's so lonely because quackers is on her nest, so he's like starving for attention. i hate leaving his cuz he's so sweet. he comes when he's called. he talks to grandma (my mom) on the phone lol. he lays on the floor right by me. he lays his head on my bed so i'd rub his head and bill, then he lays his head in my hand. he plays peek a boo with me too. i feel like i was blessed with the best drake!!

i love quackers with her motherly instincts too. she's so cute. today i tried to give her food and water (after i locked duckie in the bathroom) and she just squeeked at me. i got the hint she didn't want to leave. after she squeeked she laid her head back into her bill. i can hear her tearing the box lol. maybe more pieces for her nest? idk she's just so cute.

just wanted to share, cuz i love them and they are worth bragging about lol.

hehe mine i just pick up and cuddle, he loves it. thats how he expects to be taken back to his coop everyday

HAHAHA really?? i try to hold my drake and i either end up with scratches, love them scovie claws!!! or i get hit in the face with wings. i wish my drake would go to and from the bathroom being held

little brat. at least my hen lets me hold her, when she's not broody! lol.

oh and thank you. i tried to be a good duckie mom and teach him morals and how to be a nice boy! lol. he still bites a lot, but not hard usually.

haha yeah my drake can be held like a baby, football ect and he has never complained. Everyone says to watch out for their large scarey looking talons but I've never been hurt by them and I don't protect myself

I just think he's a sook!

you are lucky for a few reasons. those talons hurt so bad. i went and got medical tape and guaze. there was a period where i was scratched almost everyday. peroxide, guaze and tape were my best friend. i've tried to file nails, but it's never worked in my favor. lol. my mom won't help, she's scared lol. it's kinda funny that she's scared of them cuz i let him out to mess with her hahaha. he likes to go eat their catfood too lol.

thanks guys. i thought they were worth bragging. i really thought duckie would be locked in the bathroom while quackers was on her nest, but he's so sweet and lonely. i was wrong and glad i was!!!
