AmeraucanaHank
Blessed be the Name of God
do you have a picture of your ameraucana/bielefelder cross?I raised chickens as a kid but we had mostly one kind and that was leghorns although we did add some Aracaunas after a few years and that was my primary roo. Daddy thought he needed some help with his 26 hens and brought a RI roo home. I told him that Shorty would take him out and he didn't believe me. A week later, the RI was dead and the EE roo was strutting his stuff. They were all good layers, but I like the spice of life...variety.
I have a hodgepodge of chickens right now. 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg Roo, Delawares, Marans, 1 Austrolope hen, 4 Americanas, 2 Americana/Bielefelder cross, 1 Wyandott/Bielefelder Cross/ 1 Wyandott Roo and 2 African geese (Fred and Ethyl) and about 15 Rhode Islanders. I've had ducks, but they are very bad mannered with my geese (my drake didn't know the difference between my goose and his hens) so I gave them to someone with a huge pond.
I love my birds and want more but my husband says that the more I have the more work he has and he's suppose to be retired.
I'm not sure how to spell all the names of the birds and since the dictionary doesn't have them in it, I suppose it doesn't know how to spell them either.
