I can't advise you on your chickens but I can say that you live on a beautiful island! I had the opportunity of living in Trinidad in the early 90's when my ex worked for Amoco. We lived in Marayo and would go to Tobago to dive. Wonderful memories!
I ordered 100 jersey giants and received 98 of them shown here with 3 silkies on saturday 18th Oct.so now up to 544 birds.300 should start laying by beginning of January. At present only have 120 free range in my fruit orchard that are laying.
Well finally my ISA browns are 10 weeks old and today I web injected all 310 birds with Tremvac-Fp which is the vaccine for fowl Pox.So this bunch of layers are now innoculated for Newcastle,Bronchitis, and AE/Fowl pox having already had the three stages of combovac 30.I had previously lost 212 birds in a flock of 350 to these diseases over the past 16 months.Thank heaven that is over. Will convert their feed to grower from tomorrow until first eggs then convert to layer gradually. The eggs should start 1st week in january.
