I get 2 new chicks, if I slow down on smoking, he ( my old man ) promised me if I could eventually each time get closer to quitting my reward will be 2 new chicks.
I have noticed when I am around them more I didn't have the urge to smoke at all maybe this will work for me and in the end the price between a pack of cigarettes
and chick feed is actually less money. So all in all we would be saving money and I would be getting the exercise I need each day.

So yesterday and today I cut the amount I smoked in 1/2 so tomorrow he is taking me to get the 2 chickies bantams

I will post pictures as soon as I bring them home and get them settled into their box.
The money I save from cigarettes goes into a jar I have dedicated to my new chickies lol

Congrats on the smoking. I smoke so I know how hard it can be to quit, but sounds like you have a good incentive.

Yea, I was smoking a pack a day for 7 days thats 42.00 a week thats 168.00 a month more we could have in our pockets

Just think what he would buy you if you just quit completely. (a new hen house maybe?) Being a ex-smoker, I know there is no such thing as cutting back. That's your subconscious mind trying to keep you from quiting.
Good luck with you new babies and you quit. Just try going one day without smoking. Maybe this Tuesday or Wednesday or any day you deside. Then do it. Just take one day at a time and you'll beat it. My prays go out to you.

That's a great deal! Your body and wallet will thank you for quitting smoking, and you get chicks! Win/win situation. Best of luck to you!

Yea some people believe cold turkey is the only way but I don't know if my body is ready for that much less my mind, but breaking it down was easier for me.
I did it that way just before I got pregnant so just before I came pregnant I would be able to handle not smoking at all.
Then for the first year of each of my kids life I didn't smoke, but as soon as they started to break away from me and became more independent I started going back to it.

If I am occupied I don't think of it, its when I have time to sit and be bored that brings back the urges for me.
I also think each person smokes for their own reasons and that has a lot to do with it too.

Thank you
