I made a deal

Thanks

I will if I get home before dark, the light in side and my cell camera do not always agree lol if I dont get them up loaded tomorrow night I will Tuesday.

That is a cool and creative reward system. My husband quit 3 years ago and I am almost there. I had to do it slow also. If I keep busy I can go a long time with no cigs, but at night when all is quiet, I like to smoke. I am down to 4-6 a day. Good luck with your quest and enjoy your new babies!

Good luck....hope your flock continues to grow and you are able to shed this bad habit.

I can't even imagine how hard it must be to quit smoking. Great job, and good luck! I'm having a hard enough time quitting Diet Dr. Pepper, and it's not nearly as addictive... 1 week dry now LOL.

Keep up the good work. You'll be so glad you did!

Dr. Pepper is addictive my uncle started me on it when I was little and I wouldn't try any other sodas cause it was the only one for me.

My fav thing to do in the summer was put peanuts in my Dr. P I haven't done that in years and years my husband thinks its gross lol.

Good deal on the chickens and all of my support on quitting smoking. I quit 16 years ago or so and it was the hardest thing that I ever did. When I had tried to quit in the past I would finish off my "last pack" and then the next day be obsessed with the fact that I didn't have any cigarettes on me. I'd break down run to the store, get a pack and start up again. When I finally did quit I had a half full pack with me for a couple of days. If I were going to start back up then they were right there ready and waiting. If you are a smoker, try this experiment. When you get a craving for a smoke, look at your watch and then try to distract yourself as best as possible until the craving subsides. Once it is over look at your watch again. Chances are you'll find that the cravings don't last for long at all. 30 to 45 seconds in a lot of cases.

Again good deal!

I started smoking in 6th grade and I quite 3 years ago now so that was a long time and I was up to 2 packs a day. So was my husband. We went to the doc and got but on chantex's We both stopped within three days and off the med's within a month. yes the dreams were more vivid but never wanted to smoke after the first three days. That was the BEST $120.00 I have ever spent. BUT you have to want to stop smoking. now I enjoy my food and I can even breath now.

Congratulations on trying to quit. You really can do it. I smoked for 30+ years, 1 1/2 packs a day. My kids used to say they could never lose me in a store. All they would have to do is listen for my cough.
I was put on the antidepressant Welbutrin for other reasons. I got another chest cold and couldn't smoke because I was so sick. I tried though and ended up coughing my head off. I then reasoned with myself to just keep it up when I got better.
That was almost 5 years ago and I haven't had one since. I had quit before and I knew that if I try one, I'm off the wagon. I had tried before having made it 9 months and 1 1/2 year. I think I've done it for good.
I guess what I'm saying is that if you need help, doctors now have medication that can help you. Welbutrin is only one. And sit on your hands alot.

Congrats on the deal too. More chickens would be a great incentive for anyone here.
