Very simple, cobbled out of scrap but should last a long time.

I figure I can raise it up on bricks when they're a little bigger.

They're not quite sure what to make of it right now, but I'm sure they'll soon be sitting on it.

Oh, yeah! Even the smallest of baby chicks will use a perch if you provide it. And if there's not a perch, they'll sit on top of their water and food jars!

From my very first flock of brooder chicks, I provided a perch for them. No chick should have to live without a perch. :)
