I may have killed my chicken

I have a yr old cochin that i thought had ascites. It has a soft, distended abdomen that is very red and warm with few feathers. I tried to drain the abdomen, but nothing came out. Now my hen is very lethargic and panting and just had white, watery stool. Any ideas what else could be wrong, or have I just had a very unsuccessful surgery?

She may be eggbound. You should look that up and try whatever they suggest.

I don't think it is eggbound. I can't feel anything, and it has been like this for a few days, and it was still walking around with the others.

Does she sorta waddle when she walks? Or is she walking normal?

How long ago did this problem start and how long afterward did you try to drain her?
