We have been doing that with the chicks that are in the aquarium here in the house. They run up to the side and start pecking at the glass. Then chase our finger as we move it. We find it more entertaining that TV!

Why is it they will play like that when so very little, but as they grow they decide I am The Monster That Terrifies Them?

In the brooder, anyway... My Cayuga pair are adults and come running to see me, follow me, etc., but the call ducklings in the brooder almost scramble out of the brooder to get way from me. They're just over a month old.

I think its funny that when you put the Q-tip up above the brooder and they see its not a bug, they still go after it when you put it on the side again! Great Video btw!! Gotta love those ducklings!
