It is my first time hatching eggs and I am still learning things and making many mistakes (ahhh). I opened my incubator to check on the eggs today to see that they had pipped!! I was very excited and jumped the gun a bit and took them out so I could lower them to the bottom tray. I am now realizing that moving them while they were hatching is probably not great. Will they be ok? Is there anything I can do to correct this if it is a problem? Thanks so much!

I had to move pipped eggs in an emergency and most of them turned out okay. It's risky, but not 100% fatal. Don't worry about it, just try not to open the incubator for another 24-48 hours. :)

Try to keep your humidity around 75% and give them some time. Any that were already pipped keep an eye on. If theyre not out in 24 hours from approximately when they first pipped (and youre sure they pipped into their aircell first) then its time to think about what you can possibly do or if you will do anything. Any that werent pipped externally shouldnt really be affected by the lower humidity while you were moving them.

Ive opened the lid and moved pipped eggs around inside a hovabator without them getting stuck in their shell before.
