I just got two chickens this past spring but I live in a County where they are not yet legal for suburban tract less than two acres. Unfortunately one of my chickens turned out to be a rooster (I think) or maybe a crowing hen ?. So I'm looking to rehome him/her. We love our chickens so far and they are like our pets. Look forward to learning a lot more about chickens from this site, and hopefully changing the ordinance here in this County. Thanks for reading this!

! Great to have you aboard! Quite a few clandestine chicken keepers on BYC! If you are interested, you can check out the thread below for some ideas about changing those pesky laws! Good luck and have fun!

Hi Lisa! I'm in Lilburn too! Actually, we are supposed to have 3 acres. I'm working to group everyone together to change the ordinance and have already been in contact with one of our county commissioners. He is positive, we just need to organize and fight this easy little fight. Stay tuned!

Missi, in Lilburn, GA =)
