Lovingly of course!! So out of 7, I ended up leaving 5 in the incubator. 4 out of 5 hatched no problem. This little baby was a struggle, and ultimately resulted in an assisted hatch. Thinking back on it, even the pip was so much smaller than the others...
Anyway. This chick is a lot smaller than the other 5 that only hatched a day earlier, some not even 24 hr earlier. I've dealt with pasty butt on this chick, too. Last night, I really noticed that the chest of this chick is so swollen and soft. I think it's sour crop. I've put apple cider vinegar in the water, given it a little bread and olive oil, and massaged the crop (all tips I've found on here). The chick is active, chirps, moves, eats, and drinks. The other birds aren't bullying it, either. The only thing out of the ordinary is size and this puffy crop.
What else could I do? Is this something I can alleviate quickly? How do I massage it, exactly?
Thanks in advance!
