and it has to be easy to build and narrow. Can anyone point me to a coop design that would work for me? We have our chickens in a dog run (so long narrow side yard area) and we currently have this coop http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog...ursquare-Coop-with-Run-3-4-chickens-p720.aspx which says its for up to 5 chickens but if you use the 12"per hen roost rule it the coop only fits 2 Large Fowl. Also it seems to be more of a east coast coop than some of the more open designs I've seen for hotter climates. We added an 8' x 2' run on the right hand side but I know this isn't really big enough for 4 large fowl, right?

So if we had to rebuild our coop/run OR we added to what we have, what designs would work? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I am in San Diego- my coop isn't that narrow, but it is great for hot weather with lots of ventilation and it was pretty easy to build. Check it out on my byc page! Let me know if you have any questions!

Really cool! The main challenge we have is we only have about the width of the coop we have now (27.25 inches) to play with as the coop is in a side yard. But it definitely gives me some ideas-
