I wanted a nice peafowl pen since our first one was too small (our mental picture of how big peafowl were was not big enough) so we build a new pen. Currently all five of our birds are in a 40x50ft. pen that is 15ft. tall in the center. Of course that doesn't count the first pen we ever had that is one of those build your own dog kenel things with a tarp top and then a new extention that has a tin roof and perches for the birds to get out of the rain. The top has netting but it can be hard to see in the pictures.
Crosses hold up the netting and double as roosts (one mistake we made is to let the bare wood hold up the netting, but the wood rubs on the netting so use something to stop it from cutting the netting).
This is the new tin add on.
The main large pen:
This is the small pen conected to the new pen. For some reason even though this pen is small, it is the peafowl's main hangout area.
