I'm new to keeping yardbirds. I've got a flock of 5 girls and am loving having fresh eggs for my family. I'm also an avid homebrewer. Anybody who has ever brewed knows that after a while you accumulate odds and ends. One of those odds and ends I've recently run an abundance of is malted barley. It's not spent grain which I've fed to the girls in small amounts. This is unused malted barley does anyone know if there are any drawbacks to using this stuff as a treat i would probably just mix it in with their scratch grains. Any insight or opinions would be helpful.

Thanks
