I got my last batch of tomatoes at the Farmer's Market. Locally grown and safe to eat. I'm gonna be out of town this weekend, so I'll have to look around Florence, OR for a weekend Farmer's Market.

Hey Hotwings, I've got my own plants that ae finally blooming now!! They need to hurry up,lol.I have 6 of each variety,beefsteak & gardener's delight.
One good way to look at this, is at least the local growers are getting business that might not usually have.

I didn't even know there was a recall ...bought 2 tomatoes today ..then DH came home from a local burger place (went to get me a slice of pie ..yummm!) ..and they had a sign up, apparently. He didn't know what it was all about either..

Now, I can tell him about the salmonella and the end of the recall ..haha! Great timing, too ...I put fresh tomato on our burritos at dinner time!
