I hope I put this in the right area if not I am so sorry.

My husband is in California and he bought 6 blue Ameracauna hatching eggs,he is flying back to Texas tomorrow.

My question is can he carry them on as a carry on?

Will the X-ray hurt the eggs?

He didn't plan on buying them but the breeder cut him a really good deal. I will be just sick if they can't come home with him.

I linked your thread for another member here, who flies with eggs all the time. I'm sure he'll be along soon and he'll be able to tell you what you need to know. Best of luck with your hatch!

no worries with carrying them on. when he gets to tsa security just tell them he has eggs and they need a manual check.

as he has only 6, put them in a tupperware type container in a half egg carton. fill the space with paper towels. he can then hand the container to tsa. they will test for explosive residue and give them back.

i have put more than 700 eggs through lax

good luck

Thanks, Oz!

It helps if you get customs to work with you and take care of your stuff. But they should be used to you and your eggs by now LOL

Bring me some eggs? You did say you want to come visit sometime, didn't you? I'll send you a list
