I hope for the best and the new owner has right in every form and function.
To be honest cases like this is why I felt better keeping and eating my own chickens. Even though in China you get to see the live bird in the market, you still have no idea what was pumped into its body to keep it alive two more days until it was sold.
Here in the US no one even knows where meat comes from, just imagine what is happening behind closed doors...

here in UK its the same, there is so much fraud in meat

infact you prob heard about the horse meat scandal here

in chicken terms its all lies left right and centre

you can buy BABY Whole Chicken in the shops


but they not BABY Chicken

they are EX BATERRY HENS that's are 9-12 months old and sold on for meat

the reason they are so small is because they are fed on just about all they need to lay eggs and that's it so they are tiny

and they get away with saying BABY as its classed as SIZE not Age but its a common misconception that people interpret BABY as AGE not SIZE

and its a known fact that once a chicken hen starts laying it will stay the size it is during its laying life as it needs the protein and nutrients for the eggs rather than fattening up

and again about the live birds. they have live birds back from where I'm from and yes you cant be sure what was pumped into them before they where brought to the poultry butchers on the street corners
