I wish you were a little closer. I just found out that one of my favorites is a cockerel and I can't keep it if it is. 🥺

Spot was Americana, I’ve had a few types over the years. Not particular about the breed. I just want the familiarity of having some hens. I love the fresh eggs. Thanks for the advice on the Florida thread. Much appreciated.
 
Glad to meet you, Dawnie, and welcome to BYC. I am sure you miss having chickens - they are so darned fun and adorable!

Before you start getting new birds, be sure that your new home will allow you to have them, and check if there are limits. If you are living in a town or suburb, often the local government or HOA will have rules about these things. It's better to know ahead of time than to fall in love with your new birds and find out you have to get rid of them!

I hope you can have a wonderful flock!
