I got these sweethearts a little over 6 weeks ago and they were about 5 days old from TSC, Starlight Green Eggers, straight run.

First up Arrow, 99% sure is cockerel, but seems really broody, sits and likes being pet. He grew very quickly and feathers and comb, wattles at about 4 weeks. Twice the size of all the other chicks.

Number two is Cinnamon, slow to feather, kind of looks like a RIR, hardly any tail feathers.

Number three is Sugar, also looks like RIR, tends to run and hide until he sees treats and then is on your lap. LOL

Number Four is Cocoa, very friendly, will jump on my lap or fly on my shoulder. Pretty attentive.

And last, but not least, my other love bug is Neena. She loves to perch on my lap and is kind of cuddly. If you can call a chicken cuddly. LOL

These are my first flock of chickens, all suppose to be Starlight Green Eggers. I am suspect of 3 being cockerels, maybe 4. What are your thoughts?

The first three are cockerels, and the second two are pullets.
Thank you so much! I had the same suspicions of the first three, they tend to posture like cockerels at each other, but then just act like nothing happened. The last two I was not sure, but was hoping, they tend to stay out of the way.

My cockerel was very snuggly and liked to be held and cuddled, but I stopped once I realized he was a male. We may try to keep him and I don't want to have behavior problems in the future if I can help it. But there's a lot of different information out there about how to raise a good cockerel, so you can do some research and decide how you want to handle him.

Now one of my female chicks really was broody in the brooder. We added new chicks at two weeks, and she immediately took them under her wing, snuggling them and keeping them warm. To this day, she is still my broodiest chicken!

Cocoa and Nina are pullets. You mentioned you have some older pullets they will be interegrated with?
Hi Chipmunk, Thank you so much for your help. I actually purchased 4 more, they are 2 weeks old and am pretty sure they are all pullets. 2 SLW and 2 BO. I am hoping to start introducing them around 5 weeks, (it will be rather warm here) in a separate pen inside the run. At this time, I will start rehoming (hopefully) the cockerels. I am not allowed roosters where I live. I would love to keep Arrow. He's has been my favorite so far. :(
