here is the thing today is day 23 eggs under my broody nothing not even a pip.me and a friend began to open the eggs she got one i got one both were half way formed chicks and rotten. We tossed them started on 2 different eggs. When i open the air sac I saw a maving chick. It was too late I had already opened it I ran inside covered it with a damp cloth and put it under a heating lamp since I don't have an incubator. No blood untill its beak nipped the membrane it was covered in some blood but not alot. My friend comes running in with another one this one is bleeding alot but moving both are covered with damp cloths under a heating lamp we did not open the others they are under the heating lamp too.

WHAT DO I DO???? I don't know what eles to do. Someone help me I feel so bad I am crying my eyes out right now. I MIGHT HAVE KILLED THESE BABIES??????

Questions

what day are the eggs on?

is it bleeding badly?

did the bleeding stop?

how long ago did this happen ?

can you hear peeping from the eggs that have not piped?

do not try to break the other eggs open or give them help until you hear peeping. doing so you will end up with more like the ones you have now.

best of luck to you and if you have any questions go to the link under my name that says pm ask then send it to me and i will do my best.

it is still curled up and is not moving like before. There is still what looks to be alot of fluid in and around the chick is this normal. It looks like it hae almost absorbed all its yolk the other i think died has not but does not have alot of liquid around it.

My question is why not put them back under the broody hen? Had she left the eggs? Another thing you need to make sure that the heat lamp is not to hot near the eggs, 99.5 is good!!

good so if the one that your friend opened died what about the other you opened? is it bleeding? did it bleed?did you open the big or little end of the shell?

i know this seems like a lot of questions but it helps.

yes you do not want to fry the eggs you may want to stick the remaining eggs back under her if she will still sit. do not put the ones that you opened back under her this may cause infection or suffocation.

these are the best pics I could get.

this is the one i think is dead
