I need help. Crop issues, lethargy, dark crown

Yes, you can give the dewormer and Canesten together.

That's plenty of coconut oil. I'd only give about 1 tablespoon twice a day.

O.K. If she's kicking her leg out, she's probably kicking her crop and that's where the discolored skin is coming from. I know that sounds odd, but I've seen that with one of my own hens. She had a chronic crop problem the last few months of her life. She would seem at times to take exaggerated steps and push up her crop with her legs or feet, especially on the right side.

This morning is not much better. I got home from school drop off and checked on her, she came to me slowly but was shivering and puffed right up. Her crown isn't blue anymore but its still dark. I've brought her inside, on a heat pad with a towel to help her get warm. She refusing to eat or drink anything yet and her crop is still puffy despite not having food since last night.

She's been drinking now, but just sitting on the couch where I put her. I feel so guilty....we've been busy with kindy this week and I hadn't noticed how thin she's gotten.....how do I know if I'm just prolonging the inevitable?? I don't want her to sugger any longer.......

:hugs I'm sorry she's not doing any better.

Did she poop overnight? What's that like?

Keep her warm like you are doing. The shivering is concerning.

Crop problems are most often a symptom of an underlying condition. Or at least, that seems to be the pattern not only on the threads of BYC, but I've seen it within on my flock.
Reproductive disorders like Cancer, EYP, Salpingitis, etc. are commonly seen in hens and once one of these conditions begin to cause issues and inflammation in the body, the result is a slowing of the system as a whole. Other conditions that affect crop function are infection, worms and/or coccidiosis.

Often all we can do is provide supportive care and treat symptoms as they arise, these measures may extend life and make the hen more comfortable for a period of time.

Only you can decide when she's had enough.

I can't see any fresh poop that for sure is hers. And she hasn't gone at all since coming in the house despite having had a drink. Her breath smells terrible, like human fecal matter......I think it's time

My biggest concern is the dark colour of her chest and her ongoing lack of coordination. She hasn't had feathers on her chest nearly all summer and it looks like blood pooling under the skinView attachment 3261541.
could it be vitamin e deficiency? That can cause 'nutritional muscular dystrophy which usually occurs with blood leakage under the skin on the breast and under the wings' according to V Roberts Disease of free range poultry 3rd ed 2009:60.
