TBH, for this quantity, I would be reaching out to local farmers and seeing what they have/will have in the near future. Get a big enough team of people helping you and I'd bet you can fill the 500 bird quota pretty quick.

Yes I called McMurtry this morning they can’t get them out till June. I found another website online that tractor supply and IFA get there chicks from they said they can deliver them the 25th this month. But they do cost a little more than McMurray

Well just had a convenient run in with a person around my area who owns a farm wants me to raise birds for them and they can butcher and all that stuff so I’m trying to fill their needs!

I'd say a hatchery is your best bet. I don't even know if a farmer has a surplus of 500 birds.
