I need help! I found an egg

Hey guys, I need help!! I found this egg and I don’t know what it is or how to care for it. I don’t even know if it’s still alive but when i candled it it had pink veins and half the egg is dark like fertile chicken eggs are.
Any help on what it is or how tocare for it or even determine if it’s still alive would be helpful. I figure something out from there

The best thing that you can do is to leave it alone.

Looks like a quail egg please I agree do not move it

It was in the water at our lake cabin, we had no choice but to move it. It would have died
