I have female goose that is only a week old.. She got into a long string of my feed bag....By the time i got to her, she had it wrapped around her like a slipped knot.. I brought her into the house and had to take tweezers to take it off.. now i did that.. the string is down her throat and i will not come out.. I am pulling on something...So i didnt want to hurt her as she was so exhausted.. That i cut the string and left a inch out of her mouth .. thinking that it might come loose later on in the day.. When i put her back down in the coop. The string disappeared down in throat even more.. I am worried that i am going to loose her. What are the chances of this happening. ? Will she poop it out or will it break down and come out or will it kill her... IS something i can do or do i just wait. I am so bummed about it and so made at myself not think of the string on the bottom of the bag..

A Vet may just be able to remove it with forceps but it does sound as though some has passed through the crop. So I highly recommend a visit even if it just to be told that she may pass this. Plenty of grass and high fibre diet will help stimulate the digestive system.

Good luck.
