ok vaccinated for Cocci? how do I go about that ? im worried about using CORID so I purchased a bottle of SULMET, Read it works better if its Cocci I do not own a scale at home.. So I give meds once aday? that's what I was wondering, I keep washing there butts too..
There is no vaccine for coccidiosis. I was saying that the CDT vaccine is a good one. It helps guard against Clostridium tetani (Tetanus bacterium) and Clostridium perfringens types C and D. All of these bacteria can cause fatal disease.
They need a medication that inhibits the growth (coccidiostat) or one that kills them (coccidiocide). Sulmet was a good choice. Corid still works, but other medications seem to work better.
You will still need to find out how much they weigh. If you underdose, you will only make the protozoan (what the bug is) resistant to that medication (which means it will never work again for you). If you overdose, you could hurt the kids. Do you not have any way to weigh them? Weight tapes make for an educated at best, so this is not a good way to determine weight.
Yes, they need the medication once a day. It needs to be given once a day for a total of five days. Repeat three weeks from now after the last dose.
To make this clear, you need to be treating all three of your three month old pygmy girls.
