Hi guys, so I need some advice. I have 9 silkies, we have separated males from females as our females have become layers. I am starting to believe one of the silkies we believed was a boy may be a girl. I could have SWORN I saw one of the other males "mating" with this one. But its hard to tell if they are fighting or mating since males normally fight anyway. We haven't noticed this one crowing but we have had other late crowers in the group to. Thank you guys! I have attached MANY pictures below. Our first thought is male but you just never know!

*he/she is split from the other males and will have a separate space in the coop as its the only one picked on*

That's not a pure silkie but an adorable bugger to be sure! Cool coloring! the comb is pretty big but the wattles are tiny. Even when a hen has a big comb, her wattles are small.
BUT
I think I see hackles and saddle feathers. I vote boy!

Could you tell me what you think he could be mixed with? They told us full blooded but we figured they weren't once they got older!

He has either a modified pea comb or a maybe a modified rose comb, silkies have walnut combs, so that accounts for the size. He has muffs and a beard which could be the silkie side. If I were to hazard a guess. Maybe Belgium D'Anver?
