Hey everyone I need help... quickly.
I had a little bantam polish just hatch and it was obvious he shouldn't have. He was bleeding alitte bit but he has about a pea size part of the yolf not yet absorbed. is he a gonner for sure? Should I just cull him rather then have him suffer? I want to know if there is anything I can do to give him a better chance.... please respond soon

yes...dont cull dont do a thing but leave it in bator-it will slowly absorb it all on its own-there will be a tiny bit of blood with all chicks-tiny bit because of where they are attached to the egg. relax-its ok...

Thats unfortunate-but Ive many hatched like that and I havent lost one yet. I just leave them. When they rest -thats good-they will absorb it-if its one of the lucky ones-but if its only pea size-I thinkit will be just fine.

One of my chicks last week hatched and was bleeding for a little while. I kept a close eye on it, and it stopped bleeding. This week the little chick is doing fine. My chick didn't have an unabsorbed yolk though.

Does it look like the chick is suffering? I wouldn't cull it right now, unless it's writhing about in pain or bleeding a lot.

Best wishes

So is it the yolk thats on the vent that I saw on mine last night?

Does anyone ever try and help it? like gently push the yolk in? I read somewhere that they would keep coating water on the area to keep it moist
