I need help with Coop Windows using Lexan

I’m building a coop and the plans call for two side windows using Lexan and I’m looking for a way to use the Lexan during foul weather (no pun attended it maybe so) or winter but during summer added ventilation.
How to make water tight seal? Use slide technique or a window frame that opens and closes? Make a frame out of what type of wood, white size wood?

so many questions... Can anyone set me straight

Here's a very clever 'lexan' window.

Regular hung windows leak when left open. I opted for a homemade window like this. I have them on two sides so the wind can blow through.

I am going to refit my other one to have these under the poop boards so they can be open even in the winter time. You can put some bent metal over the hinge or a piece of J channel to move the water out past the window sides.

This acts as an adjustable window and roof

We're up in New England about 45 minutes outside Boston so hot and humid in Summer and Cold in the winter.

The plans are a Frankenstein between a Carolina Coop and something far more affordable so trying to pick and choose elements we like as well as meet our pocketbook

I kept it simple seeing how it is a coop.
I ran a kerf down some pvc 1x2 to accept the plexiglass and made a window out of that. I have a chain holding it open but it could be anything from rope to some fancy pulley system.

You can see the kerf in one of the photos for the plexiglass
