I need help with determining gender of my EE

10 is your max.
The more acreage you have the better.
As long as people don't fuss on noise, everything is clean, they are in a run or pen-- it looks like you'll be good.

I would probably contact the authority that handles such things and ask pointed questions to ensure that I had the appropriate information. Not necessarily “I have these chickens” but “I have questions regarding keeping poultry in my area”. Then document that conversation as best as I could for future reference. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Too much legalese makes my head spin. Haha.

I'm reading it as you can not have chickens unless they are 250 ft from any resident, not just your house, you can not have a rooster if a neighbor complains of noise, and you can not free range. You would probably have to be on some land for them to be 250 ft from your neighbors and you. We are on 1/4 acre and have my chickens 50 ft from the house.

Yeah. I'm in a pretty close neighborhood right across the TN/MS stateline in Southaven. My neighbors know I have chickens and just asked that if one turned out to be a rooster, if I could re-home it if he becomes a nuisance. I live on just under 1/4 acre myself. Thank you all for your input on the matter.

Yeah, so I dont think you can have chickens then. It's not possible to keep them 250ft from all residents on under 1/4 acre. :hmm
