I remember you, we were wondering how you were doing with your chick. Sometimes we have a hard time understanding each other but we all want to help. We are trying to understand what you're saying and mean, also not knowing where you are from, we don't know what supplies you have available to you. Some get frustrated with the communication gap while others try alot harder, so let's see if we can understand ....
Your 1st chick died after falling. You had the 2nd chick you were going to get another chick to keep it company. The chick you are asking about the #2 chick.
The place you got the chick from said just to food is enough, you haven't been able to find sand, right? At the farm you work at, do they have some dirt or maybe some tiny stones about this size 0 0 0 0 ? You could mix the feed with some water, make like a mush, it would help the chick digest it's feed.
If I understand correctly, you were keeping it warm with warm water bottles, the boxes got wet and you're out of boxes, so you put it in it's cage.
What kind of cage is it? Where is the cage, inside or outside? The chick is too young to stay outside, so I think you are keeping the cage in your room? To keep it warm you could put a towel or blanket over the cage at night to keep it warm. If you have an extra towel or stuffed animal, put it in the cage with the chick to help it stay warm.
Ok, you are saying when you hold the chick, it feels like the skin is sharp? Not understanding that. Could you try and explain more or picture of what you're meaning. Are there any farms in the area that raises chickens?
