I have a baby chick. She's almost 6 weeks old. Yesterday she started holding her head down against her breast and shaking it back and forth. She also would back her butt up against the side of the brooder or she would fall. I separated her from the rest and gave her some vitamin E and also have been trying nutri-drench. I tried feeding her food mixed with yogurt too. She's not eating or drinking on her own and her episodes have started lasting longer. All the other chicks have been thriving and doing great so I'm not too sure what's going on with this one I have all the chicks on a medicated starter feed and once a week I've given them a probiotic and electrolytes in their water.

I would try to give at least 1 ml of of the NutriDrench daily, since it has E, thiamine, and selenium, which are all good for symptoms of wry neck. Wry neck can be due to an injury, a vitamin deficiency, hereditary, and from some illnesses, such as in Mareks, lymphoid leukosis, and some respiratory diseases. Hopefully she will get better with your TlC, and making sure that she gets plenty to eat and drink. Chopped liver, egg, tuna, and plain yogurt have essential vitamins and minerals to treat wry neck as well. Good luck.

Thank you! I upped her dose of the nutri-drench since I was only giving her a third of your suggestion. She's still having small episodes but she's coming out of them much quicker. She even tried to fly out of the brooder I have her in. She's much more alert today and even eating on her own. I'm really hoping this means she'll make it. I haven't been very confident in that the past couple days but I'm really happy with her demeanor today.
