okay so, he does little dances to the hens but i don’t know if he’s a pullet being playful, or a roo trying to mate. Leave suggestions please!

is s/he drooping one wing and shuffling toward the hens? Does s/he cluck when s/he does? can you take a pic comparing s/he to one of the hens?

i haven’t seen him/her droop a wing, but i’ve seen him/her shuffling and clucking. and when it’s time for them all to go to bed on the perch, he/she is always the last and always goes around the perimeter to check that theyre all in. I think it’s a male because of this but still not 100%. and when you say compared to the hens do you mean other silkies? or the rest of our flock. because i don’t have any other silkies.

Age? Clear close up of comb with crest pushed back. 😊
He/she is 6 months old. will be 7 in a week. and they are all in bed on their perch right now so i’ll get you a picture maybe tomorrow afternoon if i have time if that’s alright.

Looks female to me. Probably going in last as she is lower (or lowest) in the pecking order. My boys are always the first to go in to sleep! 😊
and the reason we thought it was a boy was because she always dances around the hens and try’s to jump around/on them. but maybes she’s just being playful.
